Have You Heard of JIA Dim Sum? With Many Great Chinese 🥡Restaurants on Long Island, Only One Rises to the Top? It’s been over a year since I’ve been back to this wonderful shining star 🌟 in Chinese 🥡cuisine, and I can’t for the life of me understand why. So when we decided to make a reservation to JIA in Port Washington, and sat down for our first bite, it became clear, we had forgotten its greatness and were thrilled to recapture our fondest memories of why this place is one of the best! If you’re looking for golden statues, plush velvet seats, or grandiose accents, you need to think again because JIA is none of that! JIA is located in a small unobtrusive, and almost invisible location. No distinct markings, no glaring signage, just a humble appearance with a simple minimalist interior and some of the best Chinese food you will find. For about 4 1/2 years now, JIA has become a favorite for those in the know and for good reason. Their staff, service, Presentation and Preparation are refined to a casual yet elegant science. The food is absolutely delicious but, as others have said, overpriced. The duck was amazing and the dumplings were delicious, service was also great and I don’t like giving anything other than 5 stars but honestly, there is a lot of delicious food out there for 1/4 or 1/2 the price.

The assorted dumplings were really good. We especially liked the shrimp siu mai. I think it was our favorite of all of them. The noodles were delicious and had great flavor. They were not too saucy at all, and they didn't feel oily. We will definitely return for more dim sum. The service was excellent, and we did not have a single complaint. I would definitely recommend this place if you do not want to go into the city. It is nice to have a restaurant this good so close to home.

Superb Christmas dinner! We stuck to the appetizer and Dim Sum menu and it did not disappoint! Started with the light and refreshing yellowfin tuna sashimi salad and Peking duck lettuce wraps. Both excellent. Dim Sum included cumin lamb potstickers, 5 flavor chicken dumplings, pastrami egg rolls and scallop & shrimp dumplings. Added vegetable fried rice as well. Cocktails were delicious too! We’ll back for main course choices next time.

One of my most favorite restaurants on Long Island and certainly the best Dim Sum outside Manhattan. We discovered this place three years ago and fell in love with flavors and quality of Master Chef Kang Ha who does not cut corners! This place will not disappoint.
